The IJ League was a short-lived multi-national league featuring teams from China and Japan. It was began in June 2024 with the Beijing Lions, Nagoya Orques, and Tokyo Wilds participating. However, on September 12, 2024, the league announced that it was ending its activities and entering into concrete discussions with the Japan Ice Hockey Federation regarding the future of the league. As a result, the remaining games this season were planned to be held as exchange games (practice games) between the three teams.
